Experience

1 year administrative and customer service experience, operational experience is very much desirable but not essential, this role is unique so we are looking for a positive attitude and aptitude for learning. Supervisory experience would be desirable.

The role

Operations Co-Ordinator We are excited to announce that we have an opportunity for an Operations Co-Ordinator to become an integral part of Planterra Ltd. The successful candidate will work as part of a busy office team, specifically relating to Blue Iris Landscapes Ltd. In the main, to support with the smooth running of the operational side of the business, including managing a schedule of up to 8 vans on a daily basis. The role will involve dealing with both clients and the onsite team. Some writing of quotes based on the clients requirements may be needed. You will report to, and initially support, the Operations Manager with any operational duties. These may involve tasks such as ordering materials, specifically for the landscaping side of the business with a view to taking the lead in their absence. You will be required to be very organised and able to deal with a high and varied workload. As you progress within your role and gain more knowledge you will have the opportunity to grow within the company.   • As one of the most important aspects of your role will be answering the phone, it is crucial that all calls are answered and dealt with professionally and efficiently. You will be working amongst other members of staff in the office so it is important that you can work well as part of a team and are willing to help and support other members as required.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Communicate with customers via phone, email and letter
  • Organising, supporting and communicating with the onsite team
  • Update the in-house system with detailed, accurate notes
  • Completion of the P.O. system
  • Answer incoming telephone calls
  • Create reports using a company template and update spreadsheets where necessary
  • Provide ongoing support to the Operations Manager and taking the lead as necessary
  • Take receipt of goods
  • Ordering materials
  • Organising specialist tool/plant hire
  • Respond to emails in a timely manner
  • Scanning
  • Shredding
  • Photocopying
